Boniface IV claimed Nov. 1 to be All Hallows' Day in the seventh century,
making Oct. 31 All Hallows' Eve. Halloween was later derived from this name.

Mexico, Halloween is celebrated as "El Dia de los Muertos," or
"The Day of the Dead." A festive and happy celebration, El Dia de
los Muertos goes on for three days, altars are decorated with food and
flowers, and photographs are constructed for deceased family members who are
believed to return to earth on Halloween.
